First image of the new CW’s Green Arrow!!!

I would like to say that I didn’t SQUEE when I saw this but that would not only be a lie, it would also be an terrible understatement.
HENRY CAVILL looks like a kinda evil Superman, a “no, you didn’t just try to lock me up in a vault” determined “Man of Steel”.
Great photo. The cape is super long, no? Its billowing. I am a geek. That kinda texturized rubber suit is interesting. It looks good in the photo. I am excited at the prospect of all the buzz that this movie will generate at next year’s Comic-Con.
I must go. There is a snoopy happy dance to be done.
..Lois Lane and Superman… Strange as it may seem. While watching them play husband & wife on Desperate Housewives I can’t help but think that James Denton voices Superman/Clark Kent in some of the DC animated movies and well, Teri Hatcher made her name playing Lois Lane in Lois & Clark. Kinda weird but great that they’re a couple in one world and another.
Ok, I’m going to keep this short on account of me being sad that this time next week any new episodes of Smallville will cease to exist.
Spoilers in a nutshell: Lois got Clark’s powers for a day & Clark got to be human (but they returned to him at sunset), Ollie found & rescued Kara on his search for the Bow of Orion, Kara got summoned by Jor-El before she could grab the Bow and Granny Goodness destroyed the Bow before Ollie could grab it & save himself from the mark of the Omega branded on his skull. Quite ominously, Ollie is last seen digging up what looked to be some gold kryptonite. The Legion of Doom made an appearance as did a Legion ring, on the finger of a certain supergirl, who has chosen her destiny and not..um..how shall we say this..steal Superman’s thunder. Lois..broke up with Clark..cos she felt guilty that each time he spent his time with her, she was keeping him from rescuing a person in need of his help. Cue credits..
I dunno what to say. I know that everything’s falling into place but I don’t want it to end just yet. I’m really not ready.
I am, however, ready for the gorgeous series dvd boxset that is coming out this fall. Yaaaay for Smallville. Sad to see you go but I cannot wait to finally see Superman next week.
Clark & Lois - Soul Mate - Update (including Finale)
Fuck. I’m crying. This is too beautiful. Oh man OTP! Clois FTW!
Amazing! Love the music, the clips and how you just matched everything up so perfectly!

Very cool “blink & you miss it” cameo by Busy Phillips & Dan Byrd (of Cougar Town) in the season finale of Community…which really did not disappoint. I love Community!
Sorry, I just realised that I said in my first post that no one called him Superman but I do know that Chloe called him Superman as she read her son the story and Lois did call him the Man of Steel. Sorry, my bad! I have to admit, I just re-watched it. I think I liked it better the second time around. The slow build of the John Williams score at the very end as he begins to change out of his suit and into his Superman suit was just great. Also, his flying at full speed into Lionel Luthor/Darkseid in the barn was pretty awesome. I still would’ve liked to see more of a fight but Smallville always operated on a small budget so its understandable that they weren’t able to create a larger than life Darkseid who could go toe to toe with Superman. Gotta say that the intro, the Luthor showdowns (Tess/Lionel,Lex/Clark,Lionel/Clark,Tess/Luthor) were all good. I really thought Darkseid would present himself as Lex but seeing how easily Clark took out Lionel I can see why they chose instead to leave Lex the lone Luthor. Also, I wondered where in the world Chloe was meant to be, that she was putting her son to bed as Lois and Clark were preparing to get married in Smallville. A different time zone means what? Green Arrow doesn’t live Stateside anymore? I saw the wedding ring, Chloe’s not a single mother. Curiouser and curiouser. I need to stop watching it. Awww, I miss it already. Even though it had its moments when I wondered what the hell they were doing to my DC Universe, most weeks I just revelled in the fact that I had a DC Universe on my screen every week. Now I’m just going to see if I can stay off tumblr for a little while at least before I post another Smallville finale post. Didn’t you love that Tess had the foresight to wipe Lex’s memories. Its just a shame that she didn’t get the chance to tell someone her genius plan, in my mind, in the “offscreen Smallville-verse” she was clever enough to leave a video log for them to discover post death. It seemed sad that she had to die without anyone coming to her rescue or without any further mention of her name by any of the other characters but like I said before, it had to be done to kinda auto-correct the Luthor storyline to fall in line with the Superman arc. I better go, I am overthinking this. I loved the last 10minutes of the show. Tom Welling as Superman FINALLY!

..To be continued in 2018. By far, this was one of the best things Smallville did in the finale, it gave the Clois shippers the white wedding images that they can photoshop til the cows come home without actually giving them the wedding, leaving those of the “Superman didn’t marry Lois before he was Superman” camp some satisfaction. That tiny glimpse into the future got me wondering though, if I was a certain Chloe Sullivan and I walked into the Daily Planet one day to see my dead husband’s doppelganger little brother doing his job, I would’ve done a double-take and then some. Also, assuming Chloe’s son was 6/7, that’d mean that the Queens’ got started on their family pretty soon after their “vegas” nuptials. What?!? You didn’t do the math? C’mon people, don’t act like I’m the only one who saw that kid in his Warrior Angel PJ’s and thought, “so Chloe & Ollie didn’t waste any time settling down in Star City.” Sidebar: I half thought if Chloe is reading the story of Smallville to her son, then does the whole world know that Clark Kent is Superman?!? Also, wouldn’t it be cool if that comic was included in the dvd boxset? (Hint, hint) OK, back to the wedding, as cute as the voice over gimmick was when the couple read their vows, I felt it unnecessary to re-hash it at the altar especially having just heard Lois’ vows. Again, nice gimmick to give us a glimpse of what their wedding would’ve been when it did go ahead…in the future.
